LITHOPROBE transect information
Detailed geological and geophysical information for selected LITHOPROBE transects
Transects are areas of interest in which data were acquired.
As the data are processed and interpreted they are made public.
The following transect working groups have put material on the web:
Alberta
Basement (CAT 1992, PRAISE 1994, SALT 1995). (Maintained by
Bruce Palmer, GSC Calgary.)
ECSOOT
1996 refraction experiment. This (and more) is also available via the home page of
Thomas Funck at Dalhousie University.
Slave-Northern Cordillera Lithosphere Evolution (SNORCLE).
Trans-Hudson
Orogen (THO) home page of Alan G. Jones. (EM work only.)
Western
Superior (WS) home page at Queen's University.
Find information on electromagnetic work related to Lithoprobe East (LE),
Southern Cordillera (SC/SBC),
Slave-Northern Cordillera Lithosphere Evolution (SNORCLE), and the
Trans-Hudson Orogen Transect (THOT) under
Alan G. Jones' home page.
LITHOPROBE
Seismic Atlas provides plots of seismic data and interpretations
for all transects. The sections were filtered and plotted by
Arie van der Velden, University of Calgary.
